Vince Carter

Game: Nov. 13, Memphis vs. Sacramento 111-10

Stats: 11 points, 2 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block

It’s no secret that Vince Carter has struggled to begin this season. Right now he is scoring 5.2 points per game, shooting 28.1 percent on three-point attempts, and has a PER of 7.31. Carter was supposed to provide Memphis with outside shooting, and be a creator on pick and roll sets, but those moments have been few and far between.

One of those positive moments came Nov. 13 against the Sacramento Kings. Carter only played 17 minutes, but he helped keep Memphis close in a game that nearly slipped away from them several times. Carter hit four of his five shots taken, including three of four three-pointers.

He finished the day with 11 points, while also dishing out two assists, and recording 4 rebounds.

This was the Vince Carter the Grizzlies expected to see on a regular basis. He was knocking down shots, creating opportunities for his teammates, and even getting inside to grab rebounds. If Carter can play like this more often, Memphis will become even scarier to the opposition than they already are.
