4. Bobby Portis – Arkansas  Razorbacks/PF

Stat Line: 34 minutes, 21 points, (9-of-15), one assist, and one block.

The Arkansas Razorbacks did everything they could to try to play well, however their effort got wasted. Defensively Arkansas couldn’t muster up a string of defensive stops, and offensively they got limited because of difficult shot selection. Arkansas playing poorly was a huge shocker because of how well this team plays together. It didn’t seem like their players weren’t trying, it seemed like the moment was too big for them. When Iowa State would start to go on a run, players were getting upset, moody, and losing confidence.

One of the players that didn’t let up for Arkansas was forward, Bobby Portis. The 6’10″ stretch four played well and most importantly he looked comfortable. Portis didn’t get rattled by the moment in front of him and put together one of his best games of the year in a road performance.

Portis shot 80 percent from the field, made both his three-point fied goals and ended the game with 19 points, eight rebounds, one steal and experience for the next big game Arkansas will have to play.
