Dwyane Wade: The 10 Best Games Of His Career
By Sam Richmond
April 25, 2010 — Boston Celtics at Miami Heat
46 points, five rebounds and five assists in 43 minutes
Miami entered this April contest down 3-0 in the first round of the 2010 playoffs to the Boston Celtics. However, Wade allowed the Heat to live for one more game, lighting up Boston to the tune of 46 points while shooting 16-of-24 from the field, 5-of-7 from three and 9-of-14 from the free-throw line.
It’s important to note that the Celtics had a top-five defense this season, allowing 103.8 points per 100 possessions, according to Basketball Reference. But that elite defense was no match for a player in Wade that was starving for some more postseason success.
Wade was best when the game mattered most, scoring 30 of his points in the second half and personally outscoring the Celtics 19-15 in the fourth quarter.
Unfortunately for Wade, he had little help from his teammates in this series and Miami ultimately fell in five games. Fortunately for the Heat star, LeBron and Bosh would join him the following offseason.
