Gordon Hayward Is Clutch

One of the best developments that the Jazz have had is that they found out their go to player in the clutch, small forward Gordon Hayward.

Hayward in the clutch is the one player that the Jazz can lean on, and during these moments he doesn’t shy away, he thrives. Hayward is the defacto leader of the Jazz.

When the Jazz make Hayward a priority in the offense he has delivered. In the five wins the Jazz have Hayward’s averaged 21.6 points, 4.4 assists and two steals a game. In wins he also is shooting 51 percent from the field.

Hayward already has made two clutch jumpers late to get wins. One was a late dagger against the New York Knicks that led to a Trey Burke game-winner in the corner. While the most famous shot he’s made came against the Cleveland Cavaliers when he nailed the game winner inside of the Energy Solutions Arena.

The Jazz have the cornerstones of their franchise in the hands of Hayward, and the aforementioned Favors.
