Festus Ezeli, Golden State Warriors

Ezeli is sneakily vital to the Warriors’ frontcourt, but right shin inflammation has held him out of training camp activities since Oct. 1. Ezeli was expected to make his return after missing the entire 2013-14 season with a knee injury, but he ended up missing NBA Summer League because of that shin inflammation, which will now hold him out of tonight’s preseason opener against the Los Angeles Clippers. Ezeli will be re-evaluated soon (per Warriors beat writer Rusty Simmons) but might not suit up for most of the preseason.

Shaun Livingston, Golden State Warriors

Livingston was Golden State’s biggest offseason addition and is expected to be a major upgrade over Steve Blake, the team’s backup point guard last year. But a toe injury has kept him sidelined from training camp so far and the Warriors are uncertain when he’ll return. As of right now, it’s likely Livingston misses the entire preseason, and he will not suit up for tonight’s preseason opener against the Clippers.
