Sim Bhullar

Chances are most NBA fans have heard of Bhullar by now. If it wasn’t for the fact that he’s 7″5′, it’s likely that you heard about Bhullar as he seems set to become the first player of Indian descent to compete in the NBA. During three years in New Mexico State, Bhullar showed strong defensive instincts and there will be a lot of curiosity to see if they translate to the NBA.

The Kings are clearly keen, and not surprisingly considering owner Vivek Ranadive’s Indian roots, they have been on the Bhullar hype train for quite a while. Bhullar was a part of Sacramento’s Summer League roster in Las Vegas, and it’s now over five weeks since he signed his contract with the Kings. With the team lacking a little in depth at center, Bhullar has a real chance of making the roster too.
