The preseason is rapidly approaching for the Los Angeles Lakers, and with it brings a new set of players, roles, coaches, and strategies. The rumors will swirl, victory will be cherished, and defeat will cut deep as it always does.

As a result, there will be fluctuation in the momentum of particular players and coaches in relation to the Los Angeles Lakers. the “stock” if you will. This piece is meant to monitor the progress and regression of the franchise, it’s staff, and players.

Look for more of these posts throughout the year as we digest all the play, trades, signings, and other fun stuff that occurs during the grind of the eighty-two game gauntlet , and see who is pointing upward and who has some work to do. Each time, we’ll take a look at a few “stocks” on the upward swing, and some headed in the wrong direction.

For this post, we will take a look at Lakers “stock” as we exit the offseason and enter the preseason. With a new coach, and a handful of new players, things are sort of up-in-the-air for the franchise, but we will try to sort out who is in position for a great season, and what things are looking rather negative right now.
