Rebounding

For a guy who’s just shorter than 7 foot with a hulking frame, Pero Antic doesn’t really grab as many rebounds as you’d expect him to. He came from EuroLeague with an average of only 3.2 rebounds per game in his six years of play in Europe’s premier competition.

As a result, in many ways Antic outperformed expectations with an average of 4.2 per game in his first year in the NBA.

When those numbers are adjusted per 36 minutes of play, Antic comes out with 8.1 rebounds, which is by no means a bad number. There’s just still a feeling that Antic is capable of more. His sheer strength gives him an advantage over many opponents he faces, and if he increased his activity and awareness under the basket a little bit, more rebounds would surely come with that.
