Matthew Dellavedova, Australia

Position: Guard

Age: 23

Professional Team: Cleveland Cavaliers, NBA

Australia is an incredibly exciting team to watch. Its guard play is on par with some of the best countries in basketball and its big men are either physical and hard-nosed or versatile enough to knock down a jumper.

Patty Mills may be out, but that doesn’t mean the Aussies should be ignored.

Dante Exum is the most noteworthy name on this list. He was drafted No. 5 overall by the Utah Jazz at the 2014 NBA Draft and has some skeptics to prove wrong before his hype is bought.

The star of the show for Australia, however, will be Matthew Dellavedova.

Dellavedova, the 2012 WCC Player of the Year, quietly put together a very impressive rookie season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was a strong facilitator with a very good outside shot and had three double-doubles in his final 14 games.

As the FIBA World Cup rolls around, look for Dellavedova to do what he does best: shine in international competition.
