Luis Scola, Argentina

Position: Power Forward

Age: 34

Professional Team: Indiana Pacers, NBA

Argentina suffered a major blow when leader Manu Ginobili was ruled out of the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

Even without Ginobili, Argentina is a dangerous team that consistently makes deep runs in international play.

The player to watch isn’t Ginobili, but it is an NBA veteran: Luis Scola of the Indiana Pacers.

Scola remains one of the best international basketball players in the world. He most recently dominated the 2013 FIBA Americas to the tune of 18.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

With a knockdown jumper from mid-range, Scola keeps every defense he faces honest. When Argentina needs him to, he also takes over games against some of the best competitors in the game today.

He may not be an NBA star anymore, but no matter which team he’s matched up against, Scola will keep the best of defenders busy.
