Three-Point Shooting

Augustin is an excellent three-point shooter. For his career, the Louisiana native averages 37.7 percent from behind the line, and on two occasions, he has even surpassed 40 percent as his season average. Last season was one of those times, as Augustin shot 41.1 percent from deep for a Bulls team desperate for his offensive output.

The Pistons may not have to place as much of their offensive load on his shoulders, but on a team who struggle so much with shooting, Augustin’s accuracy from deep will be a big plus. Also, when Brandon Jennings is having one of his games when shots just aren’t falling, at least Van Gundy now can go to a guy who will make more than his fair share.
