Shooting

With Paul Millsap now gone from the squad, Team USA lacks depth in terms of shooting bigs. In international basketball, where the three-point line is nearer than in the NBA, it should be a top priority of Coach K and his staff to ensure fluidity and spacing in their offense.

Although Cousins can be dominant inside, he is also capable of stepping back and hitting long two point attempts. Last season, Cousins attempted 202 attempts from the central 16-24 feet range, just above the free throw line, and made 47 percent of them. At the very least, that efficiency is enough to keep defenses honest.
