Bo Kimble

It hurts to write Bo Kimble and bust in the same sentence. One of my favorite basketball movies was Heaven is a Playground, and if you haven’t seen it you’re slacking.

After being a standout athlete with Loyola Marymount University, Kimble’s game didn’t translate well into the NBA. Bo Kimble performed in only in 105 games and didn’t put up anything more than a six point average. He spent two seasons with the Clippers, originally drafted as the eighth pick in the first round of the 1990 draft.

Able to snatch dollars from the top of the backboard, Kimble was an exceptional athlete. However nerves and what he claimed was a “lack of opportunity” prevented him from catching a rhythm in the league. Washing out after only three seasons he rode the pine for the bulk of his NBA career.
