Keith Closs

Isn’t it funny how the worst players seem to have the best nicknames? That might have been the only way for the Clippers to recoup any kind of value in Keith “Boss” Closs.  Unable to get him to produce on the court, the Clippers were probably intent on expunging  max entertainment value out of him.

Closs was entertaining, but for all the wrong reasons. Remembered more for his hairstyles and less for on-the-court play, 7’3 Closs spent three years in the NBA, all with the Clippers. Admitting to being an alcoholic in elementary school, he drank his way out of the NBA after a career average of four points and three rebounds.

Not to drag his name through the mud, Closs did have potential. He was quick off his feet and had insane hops, despite a low basketball IQ.

There was also that matter of a public beating too.
