Why Korver Should Make The Final Squad

There’s nobody else in the 19 players currently under consideration that can do quite what Korver does. His movement and constant threat is notorious in the NBA for drawing attention from opposing defenders, and whether that’s used in designing plays for Korver, himself, or using him as a decoy, it’s a nice asset to have.

Having a sharpshooter of Korver’s quality in FIBA events is even more valuable due to the shorter distance from the 3-point line. In FIBA basketball, the 3–point line is roughly a foot and a half closer to the hoop. It’s not as if he needed any help to begin with, but that margin could make Korver close to automatic from deep.
