2. Luol Deng

The Hornets would be very wise to go out and sign Deng if possible this offseason, as he would add the defensive stopper that they needed last season.

They did have one with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, but his lack of offense hurt them badly on the other end of the court. Deng would add the defense and still have a potent offensive game.

He is expected to command a bigger contract as well, but he would be money well spent. He’s looking to play for a playoff contender after a rough second half of the season in Cleveland, and the Hornets are a move or two away from being able to offer that to him.
