You can say what you want about what’s missing from DeAndre Jordan’s game, but it’s impossible to argue about the value of his pick. After taking Gordon in the first round, the Clippers found a real steal taking Jordan with the 35th pick of the ’08 draft.

Although he was an incredibly raw prospect, and in many ways still is, Jordan has committed to developing and improving in L.A., and he has reaped the rewards. Last season, Jordan averaged a career high in points, as well as leading the league in both field goal percentage and rebounds.

Having now transformed into a defensive powerhouse and a double-double machine, Jordan is the perfect complement for the rest of the Clippers’ talent, and is one of the shrewdest picks in franchise history.
