Odom landed in Los Angeles as the fourth pick of the 1999 draft. Odom was an instant impact guy for the Clippers, and he continued to make an impact in the NBA for years to come.

Odom represented a truly dynamic presence up front, as not only could he bang bodies in the paint, and grab rebounds, but he also had the ability to step back and spread the floor like a guard. Despite his successes elsewhere, Odom never surpassed his career high scoring mark of 17.2 that he set in his second season as a Clipper.

A couple of years later, the Clippers traded for Elton Brand, the man who went No. 1 in Odom’s class. The two worked in tandem as a dynamic frontcourt pairing for two seasons, but in the end the Clippers had to choose between them in free agency, and Odom was allowed to walk.
