3. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics would make a lot of sense for Irving, especially because they are looking for a player to build their future around. They currently have a nice trade chip in Rajon Rondo, and this type of deal could very well be a swap of point guards. Boston needs to bring in a player who is capable of scoring at a high level, and that is exactly what Irving can bring to the table. Second-year head coach Brad Stevens loves to work with the lightning quick, scoring point guards like Irving, and the two would fit very well together. If the Celtics do want to acquire Rondo, they have more than enough pieces to make a trade.
