Memorable quote

Augustin played a significant role in helping the Bulls win 48 games this season.

And if you think that he was not a valuable piece to the puzzle, you would be mistaken.

As Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports, Tom Thibodeau had this to say about Augustin following a win over the Atlanta Hawks on Apr. 2:

"He’s saved our season. He’s a big shot maker. He’s made big plays, not only with his shooting but with his playmaking — you trap him, and he hits the open man. D.J. can beat you a lot of different ways: with the shot, the pass, his penetration. He’s been terrific. It’s a big plus to have him."

Augustin would later say that Chicago was a great team without him, and that he was just trying to do his part.

While the Bulls are one of the top defensive teams in the league, Augustin provided some much-needed offense to a ball club that ranked last in scoring.
