The most memorable moment of Butler’s season came in Game 3 of the playoffs against the Washington Wizards.

In that contest, Butler got into a scuffle with Wizards’ big man Nene Hilario, which resulted in Nene being ejected and suspended for Game 4.

Following that sequence, Butler connected on a pair of 3-pointers—the second one coming with 24.9 seconds left that gave the Bulls a 94-91 lead.

The Bulls went on to win the game 100-97, and as ESPN Chicago’s Nick Friedell reports, Joakim Noah had this to say about Butler’s clutch shot after the game:

"Big shot. And it helped us win a ballgame. I couldn’t be happier for Jimmy because I know how much work he puts into it. People don’t realize how hard it is to play the amount of minutes that he plays. People really have no idea what that feels like. And what he does on a consistent basis for our team is just — priceless."

The victory enabled the Bulls to briefly climb back into the series before bowing out five games.
