It’s very difficult to know what the future holds for Gustavo Ayon. He’s a solid backup, but having had two serious injuries, and a surgery on his right shoulder this season, he represents a genuine risk to anyone looking to sign him.

Ayon is a restricted free agent this summer, and purely because of injuries it would be no surprise to me if the Hawks allowed him to walk away. Particularly with Al Horford‘s recent injury history, the last thing Atlanta needs is a hobbled backup center.

End of Season Grade: D

(decent contributor when healthy, which unfortunately was far too little this season.)
