Age: 23

2013-14 Stats: 15.1 minutes, 2.8 points, 3.2 assists, 0.9 steals, 8.78 PER

An undrafted free agent out of Missouri, Phil Pressey impressed the Boston Celtics’ brass in the summer league to land a spot on the roster. While his stats may not jump off the page at you, he was an extremely valuable rotation guard. He only appeared in 15.1 minutes per game, but he made an impact when he did. He averaged 7.7 assists per 36 minutes. He’s not a scoring guard, more of a facilitator and ball handler.

Pressey doesn’t have the look of someone who would be a starter in the NBA next season by any means, but for an undrafted player with a disappointing team, Pressey might be a better player than his stats read. If the Celtics can get him back for cheap (which they should be able to) it would be a smart, savvy move by Boston’s front office,

Verdict: Bring him back.
