Golden State Warriors 109, LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 105
Game 1, Western Conference First Round
The Warriors recovered from a terrible start, as they missed their first eight shots and got down by 11 early. Draymond Green picked up an offensive rebound and was fouled with 24 seconds left, hitting both free throws to break a 105-105 tie and put Golden State up for good.

Much of the game was in the hands of the guys with the whistles, though, as 51 fouls and 60 free throws meant the game never had any flow. Blake Griffin fouled out and was limited to just 19 minutes and Andre Iguodala only played 20 minutes for the Warriors before fouling out.

Klay Thompson had 22 points for Golden State, including hitting 4-of-7 from long range, and David Lee went for 20 points and 13 rebounds. The Warriors survived despite a rough game for Stephen Curry, who was held to 14 points on 6-of-16 shooting and turned the ball over seven times.

Chris Paul paced the Clippers with 28 points, eight rebounds and four steals. J.J. Redick dropped in 22 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point land and Griffin, despite foul trouble, had 16 points. DeAndre Jordan went for 11 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks and Glen Davis had three steaks.

Game Ball To: Thompson, who was more than a shooter on Saturday, finishing with seven rebounds, five assists and some terrific defense on Paul, who was just 3-for-11 when guarded by the bigger Thompson.

Warriors lead series 1-0
