Rose’s return would not make Bulls title favorites

It is no secret that the Bulls have accomplished some great things this season.

They are in position to capture the third spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race, and have compiled a 26-14 record since the Luol Deng trade.

And, once again, they are one of the best defensive teams in the league, allowing 92 points per contest.

In addition to that, guys like Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson and D.J. Augustin have played at a high level all season.

But in spite of the feel-good story the Bulls have created this year, they still do not have enough to win a title this year even with Rose in the lineup.

That being said, it would be beneficial for all parties involved if Rose had a full season to get into a rhythm with his teammates instead of attempting a return during the postseason–where the margin for error is small.
