Although it was recently reported that Rose has participated in non-contact drills, head coach Tom Thibodeau still declared him out for the season as K.C. Johnson of Chicago Tribune reports:

"He’s moving along fine. He has picked it up a little bit. But there’s still no contact. He’s out for the year, but he’s doing well. Last week, he was doing parts of the non-contact (drills). You know, we’re not practicing real long this time of the year. (Now) all the non-contact stuff he’s doing."

In addition to that, let’s examine the obvious question:

Being that Rose has missed a significant part of the season, would it be possible for him to work his way into game shape by the time the postseason begins in a few weeks?

The answer to that would be no.
