Portland has had a rough couple of weeks as they suffered in the absence of their All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge. The bad news for the Hawks was that he returned in this game and showed no adverse effects of his layoff, notching up a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds.

Where the Hawks often start strong and finish with a whimper in many of their losses, this game was the complete opposite. Only 37 first half points, saw Atlanta down by 16 at the interval. In fact, it wasn’t until after the break that the Hawks actually showed up to play.

A strong effort, particularly from Teague and Lou Williams, who had 22 and 16 points respectively, saw Atlanta cut down the deficit on a number of occasions. In the end, the Trailblazers had more than enough to outlast the Hawks though. The game finished 100-85.
