Patrick Beverley (Starting PG, Rockets): 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 36 3P%

Beverley is the pest of the West, serving as the perfect backcourt mate to Harden. He might be the best defensive point guard in the game today, hounding opposing floor generals to the point of absolute frustration. Offensively, he’s improved as a three-point shooter, while also learning a little running-hook shot that he uses effectively (which he apparently learned from Aaron Brooks). Any playoff victory would gain Beverley notoriety, as most teams in the Western Conference flaunt an elite floor general. If Houston is able to make it out of the West, Beverley will draw comparisons to Bruce Bowen for his sometimes-dirty tactics as a defender.

From Beverley we move to another former second-round pick who also spent some time playing overseas….
