Daily NBA Fix 2-14-14: Bulls, Thunder Victorious
Top Player
Can’t give it to anyone but Kevin Durant. While his overall game was impressive, his fourth quarter dominance was amazing. We could nitpick and say he shot just 14-for-33 from the field and 3-for-13 from the 3-point line, but if he’s giving us 43 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and three steals, we’ll deal with the shoddy shooting percentages.
Bottom Player
Last night, he was an ordinary Joe. All-Star Joe Johnson takes home our nightly worst player award, for his 11 points, one rebound, one assist and a steal in 38:27 of play. He shot just 4-for-14 and was hounded by Jimmy Butler all night long. Butler got under his skin to the point that Johnson actually thumped his forehead and earned a technical foul.
