GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 103, Portland Trail Blazers 88
The Warriors held Portland to a season-low 88 points—33 in the second half—en route to an easy win over the Blazers. Stephen Curry led Golden State—which trailed 55-54 at the half—with 38 points. Klay Thompson added 17 points, while David Lee—much maligned as a defender—contained LaMarcus Aldridge to the tune of 10 points on 2-of-14 shooting while getting 17 points and 12 rebounds. Andre Iguodala also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards. Wesley Matthews led Portland with 21 points, Damian Lillard scored 16 and Aldridge and Thomas Robinson each logged 11 rebounds.
Denver Nuggets 125, SACRAMENTO KINGS 117
Ty Lawson scored 27 points as the Nuggets pushed the pace against the patchwork Kings—still without DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay. Wilson Chandler added 20 points for Denver, Kenneth Faried had 15 points and 11 boards and J.J. Hickson hauled down 10 rebounds. Isaiah Thomas scored 22 points for the Kings, Ben McLemore added 18 and Jason Thompson had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
