Durant Drills The Dagger—Kevin Durant exploded for 23 points in the fourth quarter, including the game winner with four seconds to go. Durant’s 48 points were a single-game NBA high for the season. Nikola Pekovic had 31 points and 11 rebounds for the T-wolves, Kevin Love finished with 30 points and 14 boards, Kevin Martin scored 17 points and Corey Brewer had 15. Ricky Rubio dished out 10 assists.

Splitter Keeps It Together—Tiago Splitter scored a season-high 22 points before leaving with an injured right shoulder with 9:37 remaining after running into the chest of Clippers center Ryan Hollins. San Antonio led by 20 at the end of one quarter and it was 70-35 at halftime before L.A. saved some face with a 35-18 edge in the third period. Tim Duncan added 19 points and 11 rebounds and Tony Parker scored 17 points. Jamal Crawford paced the Clips with 24 points, Blake Griffin added 19 and DeAndre Jordan grabbed 10 boards.
