The San Antonio Spurs should have plenty of prospects to choose from with their first round pick during the 2018 NBA Draft, including a few defensive specialists and a high-upside center.

It’s going to be a busy offseason for the San Antonio Spurs, a team that must address a number of issues in the coming months. Instead of worrying about the Kawhi Leonard situation right now, though, I want to focus on their potential plans during the 2018 NBA Draft.

Currently the owners of the No. 18 overall pick, the Spurs shouldn’t have any trouble landing a potential star. Especially with this top-heavy draft class, I see a number of high-caliber prospects finding themselves still on the board when San Antonio gets on the clock. Whose name will be on the card, though?

Well we obviously can’t know until June 21. For now, though, we can speculate on potential targets for Gregg Popovich and co. With so many options to choose from with this loaded list of incoming rookies, I don’t think the Spurs will struggle to pinpoint a couple of players they’d love to reload their roster with.

Considering the team’s history of draft success, I think San Antonio fans can sleep easy knowing it’ll be a pick well spent.

So without further ado, here are five options I believe could be a fit for the Spurs at No. 18. Some are young. Some are more mature. No matter your preference, all five of these blossoming basketball stars can bring something special to San Antonio if given the opportunity.
