The power conferences continue to produce some of the best players in the NBA, but who is the best from each one?
All apologies for sounding as though I’m about to tell you to get off my lawn, but college basketball isn’t what it used to be. College basketball was once a glorious stage in which players became legends before ever reaching the NBA.
The one-and-done rule has created a watered down product, but the power conferences have still managed to produce some of the best players in the NBA.
In some instances, the players on this list emerged from their respective conferences before the one-and-done rule was implemented. In others, the best players from said conferences spent multiple seasons at their respective schools.
Premier talent tends to rise to the top regardless, whether it helps the collegiate product or not.
The question of the hour is: who are the best active players to emerge from the power conferences? Whether they’ve been on top for years on end or they’ve recently achieved star status, they’ve earned this distinction.
