2016 NBA Draft: Skal Labissiere Player Breakdown
Ideal Fits
The most ideal situation for Skal Labissiere is one that grants him the opportunity to slowly and progressively develop. He’s not ready to be a featured player as a rookie, but can be developed over time.
Thus, the most ideal fits in the 2016 NBA Draft are the teams that can grant Labissiere a measure of patience.
The Denver Nuggets make sense at No. 6 due to the presence of Kenneth Faried and the surplus of centers. The same can be said about the Milwaukee Bucks at No. 10, which has John Henson and Greg Monroe, with the latter on a short-term contract.
The optimal fits for Labissiere, however, would be either the Orlando Magic at No. 11 and Phoenix Suns at No. 13.
With Aaron Gordon at the 4 and Nikola Vucevic at the 5, the Magic are in no rush to develop a new player at either position, but need a shot-blocker who can shoot. The Suns, meanwhile, need a rim protector, and can use Labissiere sparingly as a shooter at the 4.
If Phoenix or Orlando can develop Labissiere properly, he could potentially start and become the two-way player the team needs at the position.
