With the NBA changing the way that it is, there are records in some statistical categories that we will never see beaten.

The NBA is a league where statistical analysis plays a large role; it has led the world in many respects and revolutionized how coaches around the world review games. There are some categories in the NBA where the current record holders will never lose their title.

There are some truly great names that hold these records. Their feats, never to be matched or bettered, are more than some of the greats that have played our wonderful game.

Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson and Jerry West are some of the names that are not included in these records. That should tell you how special these achievements are.

With the implementation of the shot clock, the growing athleticism of players and the change in rules so that you have to play at least one year of college, players today will never reach the heights of these truly amazing statistics.

These players did not have the support of the current-day players–no sports scientists, rudimentary physiotherapy at best and in some cases, traveling halfway across America in buses rather than planes to get from one game to the next. Their achievements are truly remarkable
