The Chicago Bulls recently ended a three-game skid with a 105-96 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, improving their record to 13-7 on Christmas Day.

Prior to their recent victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Chicago Bulls were in the midst of an early-season controversy. Not only had they lost their last three games against the likes of the Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets, Jimmy Butler advised that first-year coach Fred Hoiberg wasn’t quite cracking the whip enough.

"I believe in the guys in this locker room, yeah,” Butler told ESPN when asked whether a shakeup was needed for players to get a message. “But I also believe that we probably have to be coached a lot harder at times. I’m sorry. I know Fred’s a laid-back guy and I really respect him for that, but when guys aren’t doing what they’re supposed to do, you got to get on guys. Myself included. You got to do what you’re supposed to do when you’re out there playing basketball.”"

So with a wire-to-wire victory over the Thunder — who had previously won nine of their last 10 games — the Bulls snapped their three-game losing streak and all was right with the world. Well, at least for the time being anyways.
