As we begin to approach Christmas, Kristaps Porzingis may be separating himself from the rest of the NBA rookie class.

This year’s NBA rookie class is special to say the least.

Already it’s being written that this group of rookie talents could be on its way to potentially dethroning the 2003 class consisting of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Carmelo Anthony.

At a general glance, that’s a difficult pill to swallow in terms of how much success those four have achieved.

But the players at the head of the 2015 class are special as well.

Kristaps Porzingis, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor have looked like superior frontcourt stars with plenty of greatness in store, while perimeter players like Justise Winslow and Stanley Johnson have proved they’re farther along than some thought.

With that being said, one player is above the rest a little more than a month into the year.

Porzingis is shining star in the New York market, and that’s more than what the rest of the rookies can say.

Here’s a look at Porzingis as well as the other guys in this prospect-laden class.
