NBA Awards Watch: Does Andrew Wiggins Stand Alone In Rookie Race?

This week has brought a lot of sad times in the NBA. The biggest story of the week is the injury that the Milwaukee Bucks small forward, Jabari Parker, suffered when he injured his left ACL. Parker made a hard plant attempting to do a Euro step on a fast break attempt against the Phoenix Suns.

His foot landed extremely awkwardly and it was the begin of his demise. Now that his season is over there will be a lot more rookies willing and ready to take his spot on our rankings, more specifically, Andrew Wiggins.

The No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft is starting to finally play as if he was the first player selected overall. Defensively he is quickly getting better, as for offensively he’s starting to pick it up a lot more.

As for his running mate Zach LaVine he has also started to play a bit better when it comes to commanding the offense and distributing the basketball.

With that being said lets look into our week seven rankings for the 2014-15 NBA Rookie of the Year award.
