There’s only one surefire way to win basketball games: put up more points than does the opposition.

Considering this, a team’s roster needs players who can, indeed, put the ball in the hoop. Taking a look at today’s NBA, the teams that find the most success are those who feature three or four big-time scorers.

The Charlotte Hornets qualified for the postseason last year because of their defense, but it was their shoddy offense that held them back from true-contender status.

The team instantly improved on both ends of the floor when they signed Lance Stephenson, but calling them title contenders is a bit far-fetched at this point in time. They need one more piece to make the leap.

Enter Jeff Green.

The Boston Celtics forward has been on the market for some time now, and he could be exactly what the Hornets need to become contenders. Here are five reasons that Charlotte should trade for Green.
