Andray Blatche Blatche is said to be in talks with the Toronto Raptors, but he could sure be of some use in Miami. In 2010-11, he had his breakout season, in which he averaged 16.8 points and 8.2 rebounds. In 2011-12 however, he played just 26 games and he would later be benched for being in poor condition, then ultimately waived by the Washington Wizards. He wound up in New York with the Brooklyn Nets and his career now seems have been given new life having averaged more than 10 points and 5.2 rebounds, while coming off the bench for only 20.6 minutes per outing. Simply put, Blatche can flat-out ball. Though a possible problem could be is attitude. Toward the end of his Wizards career, he hardly looked like a player determined to put in work and play the game at the highest level. Then when Washington cut him loose, he blamed everyone except himself. Still, being with a veteran Nets teams has seemingly worked a treat and he doesn’t appear to be as troublesome. In any case, this is a Miami team that has been able to turn even the worst behaved into exemplary citizens, a la Chris Andersen and Michael Beasley, so the relationship would be mutually beneficial.  He would bring a familiar sense of versatility to the center/forward position. Granted he isn’t quite the shooter Bosh is, but he can hit mid-range shots at a respectable rate. Furthermore, he is also a capable ball handler and is one of the best distributors at either bigman spot – almost like a taller version of the San Antonio Spurs’ Boris Diaw. While it’s unlikely he would be an All-Star like Bosh, he would no doubt be a serviceable player, who does a lot of similar things for a cheaper price. As for his defense (or lack thereof), who would have though C.B. would be able to adapt into a reliable anchor? Perhaps Blatche also has that sort of potential.
