SAN ANTONIO SPURS 90, Dallas Mavericks 85
Game 1, Western Conference First Round
Tim Duncan morphed into playoff Tim Duncan, scoring 27 points as the Spurs closed the game on a 19-4 run after Dallas led by 10 points with 7:45 remaining.

Dallas wanted to limit San Antonio’s 3-point shooting, and the Mavericks did that as the Spurs were just 3-for-17 from deep. They didn’t want Tony Parker going crazy in the lane and they did so-so with that. Then the Mavs went ice cold over the final seven minutes, hitting just one field goal in that span.

Parker finished with 21 points, Manu Ginobili came off the bench for 17 and Kawhi Leonard went for 11 points and 10 rebounds. Tiago Splitter had 11 boards.

Reserve Devin Harris had 19 points for the Mavericks while Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis combined to go 8-for-28 and score 22 points.

Spurs lead series 1-0
