.378 shooting percentage

I think we need to put in perspective how bad this shooting percentage is. If Zeller was a guard, shooting worse than 40 percent would be somewhat acceptable–for a rookie. Reality check–Zeller is a 7-foot center. Centers shoot around 50 percent from the field because they play around the rim. Anything worse than 45 percent for a center is pretty bad. How about worse than 40 percent? Unfathomable. It is clear that Zeller’s offensive game is not NBA ready. The former Indiana Hoosier needs to put on some muscle–7’0” 240 pounds is skinny for NBA standards.
