NBA tip-off is inching closer and closer. After almost four months without basketball, another 82-game marathon is loading.

With that said, there is a lot of talent in the NBA today. Some rising stars and stars have been around for a little while. Where do guys like Nikola Jokic, LeBron James, and Anthony Edwards rank on this list? Here are the 10 most dominant players in the NBA entering the 2024-25 season.

10) Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards has arrived and he is here to stay. The All-NBA guard had the best season of his career last year. He averaged a career-high in points (25.9), field goal percentage (46.1 percent), and assists (5.1), leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to their first conference Finals appearance in 20 years. He was also named to the All-NBA second team.

In the playoffs, though, Edwards really rose to the equation, averaging almost 28 PPG, seven rebounds, and seven assists. He was a huge reason why the Wolves were able to upset the then-defending champion Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs.

Edwards had a productive offseason too, as he was a key bench piece for Team USA basketball and helped lead them to their fifth straight Olympic gold medal. He gave them the scoring punch that they needed from the second unit.

After playing with future Hall of Famers and having the best season of his career, Edwards' rise to superstardom is not going to stop anytime soon. With his co-star Karl Anthony-Towns getting traded to the Knicks, Edwards' game could rise even further. He has not scratched the surface of how good he can be and that is a scary thought.
