One of the most fascinating storylines in the NBA every year is which players break out and make a name for themselves at this level.

Looking across the league, there is no shortage of young talent. It feels like the NBA is slowly being taken over by young stars, and more will be on the way soon enough. With all of that said, let us now predict every team's breakout player for the 2024-25 campaign.

Atlanta Hawks - Dyson Daniels

A former No. 8 overall pick, Dyson Daniels showed potential in his first two seasons in New Orleans but never put it all together. Now in Atlanta following the surprise Dejounte Murray trade, the guard should be a key cog in their nightly rotation, and the extended time could fuel a breakout campaign for the 21-year-old guard.

At 6-foot-8, Daniels has excellent size for a point guard, and he's a strong defender partially due to that size. The Hawks need him to grow offensively, though, as he's averaged 4.8 points while hitting 31.2 percent of his career 3-pointers. If he worked on that jumper over the summer, Daniels could quickly become one of the rising two-way players across the entire association.

Boston Celtics - Jordan Walsh

Coming off a title-winning campaign and an offseason where they retained basically everyone who helped them win it, Boston's rotation is practically set. However, if there is a young player who might creep into the mix, it's Jordan Walsh. The 20-year-old appeared in just nine games last season, but there has been legitimate growth in his game lately.

In five preseason games, he averaged nine points and four rebounds while shooting 36.8 percent on his 3-pointers. Those numbers might not jump off the page, but Walsh has shown growth compared to where he was a year ago. If the veteran-oriented Celtics trust him, they could get helped from this sophomore forward.
