The 50 greatest NBA players of the 2020s (so far), ranked
By Cal Durrett
5) Stephen Curry
Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry was at his peak in the 2010s, winning two league MVPs and three championships, but has continued to play at an elite level thus far in the 2020s. Curry has averaged 28.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game in 262 games.
He also made four all-star and four all-NBA appearances during that span and, of course, won a fourth championship and his first NBA Finals MVP. Not only that but Curry was just the second player in NBA history to win the newly created NBA Clutch Player of the Year award despite being 35 years old. That suggests that Curry could continue to play well over the remainder of the decade, though he will have to adjust to an ever-changing Warriors roster that will need to evolve to continue to give him the best team possible.
It remains to be seen whether that will lead to him winning a fifth championship but Curry clearly still ranks among the best players in the league and can help carry an offense to great heights. He currently ranks fifth on this list and could solidify his place in the top five with a couple more all-star appearances.
