6) Luka Dončić

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has been an elite player since being drafted back in 2019 and is already one of the best players of his era. Doncic has made an impressive five all-NBA teams and five all-star teams in the first five years of the 2020s, a feat that only LeBron James has managed to accomplish, putting him in rare air.

He is also one of only ten players to ever drop 70 points in a regular-season game and he did so against the Atlanta Hawks, the team that originally drafted him. Doncic is also just one of three players to score at least 70 points in the 2020s, alongside Donovan Mitchell and Joel Embiid, showing just how elite he is. While Doncic has yet to win the league MVP, he seems like a safe bet to win one or even two in the second half of the decade, and had the Mavericks won the 2024 NBA Finals, he might have won a Finals MVP.

That too could happen with Doncic, who is among the best postseason performers in the league, with him nearly leading the Mavs to a title as a fifth-seed and having previously demolished the 2021 Phoenix Suns, who were the best team in the NBA. Overall, with averages of 25.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists over the 300 games thus far, Doncic is on pace to be one of the five best players of the 2020s when all is said and done.
