The 50 greatest NBA players of the 2020s (so far), ranked
By Cal Durrett
13) Devin Booker
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Suns but has come into his own over the last five years. From 2019–20 to 2023–24, Booker has emerged as one of the most prolific scorers, averaging 26.7 points as well as 4.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists over 326 games. That gives him the distinction of ranking sixth in total points at the halfway point of the 2020s, putting him in the company of Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic.
That has given the Suns a player that they can build around and Booker has helped them end a 10-year playoff drought by making the NBA Finals in 2021 and having the best record in the league in 2022. With Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal now his co-stars, Booker has a chance to make a splash in the back half of the 2020s.
He is still only 27 and should be able to replicate much of his success so far in the decade. With four all-star appearances and one All-NBA appearance, doubling out on those achievements would give him a chance to enter the top-10 when discussing the best players in the area. That is no small feat considering how stacked the top-10 is currently.
