7) Steve Novak

Former second-round pick Steve Novak was a journeyman who bounced around the league but started his career with the Houston Rockets. He spent two seasons with Houston but managed just 70 games before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he began to carve out a role for himself as a sharpshooter.

He later signed with the Dallas Mavericks but logged just seven games before being waived by the team. He then immediately signed with the rival San Antonio Spurs and played 23 games with them, completing his trip around the Texas teams.

It wasn't until he joined the New York Knicks in 2011–12 that he became a full-time rotation player. He led the league in 3-point shooting, drilling 47.2% of his 4.2 3-point attempts per game. That performance netted him a new 4-year, $15 million contract that summer and he had an even bigger role the following season.

In 2012–13, he averaged 20.2 minutes per game while playing a career-high 81 games. He shot 42.5% from deep on 4.3 attempts, helping the Knicks win 54 games and make the East Semi-finals. All told, he played for a total of nine teams during his 11-year NBA career and played a total of 100 games with the Mavericks, Rockets, and Spurs.
