The NBA season is off to a roaring start with plenty of early-season surprises. Now, nearly a quarter through the regular season, the NBA landscape is beginning to take form. Not only who the contenders and pretenders are, but also the top players at each position. While positional lines have continued to become blurred over time, they still remain helpful for exercises such as these.

First up on the list of top players at each position are the point guards. The NBA is currently flush with an enormous amount of talent at the lead guard spot. From future Hall-of-Famers to current and future faces of the league and even some thrilling up-and-comers, the point guard position is dominating the NBA.

The league has seen some established faces at the position fall short of expectations this season, but it's important to remember that there is plenty of time to turn things around. Others, though, have taken their new spots as they ascend up the NBA ladder and will continue to prove it will be no small feat to overcome them.
