6) Jrue Holiday
Boston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday is nearing the end of a deceptively long career. Holiday has played 15 seasons already but is just 34 years old and still playing at a high level, including starting on the champion Celtics in 2023-24. This after helping lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a championship in 2021.
That has people questioning whether he has a case to make the Basketball Hall of Fame. Holiday does have a case. He has 15,736 points, and if he plays out the remaining four years on his contract, he has a chance to reach 20,000 points and only a handful of players have even scored that many points and never made it in.
Holiday is among the best defensive players in the league and has made an impressive six All-Defensive teams but that alone won't get him in considering that he doesn't have outstanding individual numbers.
So scoring at least 20,000 points would dramatically boost his resume, as would winning another championship or even two. At the moment, his chances of making the Hall of Fame appear relatively remote and the next few years of his career will determine his chances but for now, it's a no.
